Electromagnetic pulse(EMP) makes sensitive equipments in the vehicle out oforder or even get permanent damaged by its very high energy coupling with theantenna,cable,slots ect.And it causes serious threat to the command systems,communication systems,control systems, computer systems and other sensitivesystems.Firstly,This paper analyzes the time-frequency domain characteristics of typicalelectromagnetic pulse, and builds modeling and simulation of the electromagneticpulse coupling modle for the purpose of the vehicle equipment electromagnetic pulseprotection. Electromagnetic pulse coupling of antenna and long conductor have beenstudied in depth.Some rules on electromagnetic pulse coupling of antenna and longconductor have been gotten in this section.Secondly, a simplified model of the car platform has been established andsimulated to study the electromagnetic pulse effects of on-board equipment andantenna through the cracks and holes. By the different polarization effects ofelectromagnetic pulse to the vehicle platform, the shielding effectiveness of theplatform and field distribution inside the car have been simulated and analyzed, and theelectromagnetic pulse resonant frequency has been given, and the body surface currenthas been simulated in typical resonance point.After simulating and modeling, a platform of RS103in GJB151A-1997has beenbuilt to check out the shielding effectiveness of a metal cubes with different length ofsews under the electromagnetic pulse effect. The results of this experiment show that:the purposes of shielding can be reached by increasing the number of pores anddecreases the length of the slit, as well as away from the shielding body slits and othermeasures with the same opening area in the case.Finally, by the comparison of the electromagnetic pulse coupling simulationanalysis and test results, it is clear that electromagnetic pulse coupling need to adoptappropriate protective measures and through the rational distribution of the cables and the vehicle equipments, to achieve protective electromagnetic pulse purpose.
