Studies On Theory And Technology Of Stone And Plant Combination Landscape In Chinese Garden

Affected by the traditional Chinese culture, traditional Chinese garden has formed itsown unique style in the long historical process, it is a bright pearl in the world gardensystem.Rocks and plants are essential elements in traditional Chinese garden. Stone is theskeleton of a garden, and plant is like its hair. Traditional Chinese garden has a long andglorious history, but because of the development of the times, social progress and changes inthe environment, landscape art form rooted in traditional Chinese culture can not fully meetthe needs of modern society. In order to improve the living environment and people’s qualityof life level, more and more cities are trying to build "eco-garden" type city. Landscapedesigners began to pay attention to the combination of the landscaping of the garden spacewith ecological. Landscape is plant landscape mainly, rocks combined with plant compositiongarden Xiaojing——stone and plant combination landscape, both to meet the viewing needs,but also with the the modern humane and ecological design principles.This paper attempted to explain the concept of the garden and typical case analysis, toanalyze historical development and domestic and foreign research progress and developmenttrend of stone and plant combination landscape; the related theory and creation of traditionalstone and plant combination landscape as the starting point, to expound coordination of rocksand plants; from a point of the development of the times and meet the function, using modernaesthetic thinking to explain the theory and techniques at first time; to study the inheritanceand development of landscape design of traditional stone and plant combination landscape inthe modern garden, to inherit and carry forward Chinese garden culture,and ultimately tocreate a pleasant garden environment. The main findings are as follows:(1) In the theoretical study，investigated the historical development, design theory ofDrop-mountain stone home and the principle of plant allocation of traditional stone and plantcombination landscape, to put forward to heritaging the traditional Chinese garden ideas, thesame time to absorb the new ideas of modern landscape, focus on the application of newtechnologies and new materials, then to create the stone and plant combination landscape ofrich flavor of the times.(2) In investigating of creating technology, systematically summarized the creating technology of traditional stone and plant combination landscape, including the createtechniques of Drop-mountain stone home and the principle of plant allocation, to put forwardthe create techniques of modern stone and plant combination landscape should be in line withuser-friendly design, meet the ecological requirements.(3) In using modern aesthetic thinking to explain the theory and techniques, from a pointof the development of the times and meet the function, to put forward to using the theory ofenvironmental behavior psychology and color constitute to design and create landscape, tocreat new forms.(4) Inheritance and development are motion of maintaining the vitality of stone and plantcombination landscape.In design and creating of modern stone and plant combinationlandscape, it must be heritage natural landscape types, flexible creating approach, the poeticgarden scene, the artistic conception garden mood. But also paying attention to tradition andmodernity combined with each other, efforts to develop the essence of traditional landscapeart, to create a modern design concepts and create techniques, to provide a more systematictheoretical and practical basis for design and create of modern stone and plant combinationlandscape.
