Enterprise-owned railway plays an important role in the development of national railwaytransport, as an extension of the national railway. Enterprise Railway Dispatching System as acore and key part to constitute modern railway transportation and production. It’s a directimpact on the production, operation and transport efficiency. Taking the challenges faced bythe enterprise railway into account currently, the application of advanced informationtechnology in the Enterprise Railway Dispatching System is in line with the requirements ofefficient development of the railway.Through the analysis of the Enterprise Railway Dispatching System business processes、organizational structure. It can be drawn that Dispatching System is carried out in accordancewith the scheduling rules for daily production activities, It is a typical complex discretedynamic system, possessing system characteristics of asynchronous、concurrent and randomand so on. The way of discrete mathematical model used to analyze and design the system isput forward in this paper, Workflow technology is applied to the Dispatching System, anddefects of the traditional business processes can be solve effectively, which efficientlyorganize the various elements involved in the transportation to be reliable、highly efficienttransport stream, to achieve a multi-role, multi-tasking, multi-sector, multi-link efficientcommunication and collaboration, and laying the foundation for building RailwayDispatching System technology platform based on workflow technology as well as analyzingthe system dynamic performance theoretically. The workflow technology have advantages ofdescription the business process and management and optimization of process tracking thatother technology can not match, which can improve business processes, optimize and rationaluse of resources, reduce human error and delays, in order to improve the efficiency ofproduction and transport, it is where the Railway Dispatching System needs.On the basis of the analysis of workflow technology, the business process is modeledcombining with Petri Net theory, with the various functions and the relationship of eachsubsystems abstracted mathematically, and the relationship abstraction and formal descriptionof business processes is realized, supplying logic model support for the analysis andoptimization of business processes together with development and research of relatedapplication software in railway in the future. While the separation of business processes andapplication software is to analyze and design system. Moreover, since the introduction ofworkflow technology is used to coordinate resources involved in the business processes ofRailway Dispatching System, which can make workflow engine task scheduling inaccordance with the workflow model to achieve business process automation, frequentadjustments and changes in the business process can be reflected by changing the corresponding workflow model, instead of numerous changes on the business processapplication code, for the purpose of meeting requirements of quickly and dynamic adjustmentfor the business process.The paper is focused on the modeling of the system and researching of model, in the firstplace by means of contrasting a variety of modeling tools for workflow model, discretedynamic system modeling tools—Petri Net is selected for system modeling. Petri Net is astate-based modeling method, which is provided with strict semantic and graphic language toachieve a clear definition of model elements, and possessing more flexible characteristics thatis suitable for the complex discrete systems like Enterprise Railway Dispatching System withfrequent business changes and a large number of interactive data between systems. Throughthe analysis of the typical business process in system in the paper, to describe of the businessprocess accurately and specifically and reduce the complexity of the model, A Petri net modelbased on complex business processes is created by several aspects expansion of the basic Petrinet.Finally, by means of performance analysis method of Petri Net model (Qualitative andQuantitative analysis), workflow model analysis for system is realized, which proves thecorrectness and rationality of the model. In the paper incidence matrix analysis method that isan very effective method of Petri net model analysis methods is employed to analyze in-depthon activity, accessibility, boundless and deadlock of Petri Net model. Furthermore, the PetriNet modeling simulation tool-PIPE software is presented in the paper, and use the PIPEsoftware to do performance analysis of Petri Net model, to obtained quantitativeanalysis(Time parameters)by model simulation performance analysis, and using statisticalknowledge aims to observed problems in the process so as to optimize the process andachieve the desired results.
