The study in the thesis is a application research for testing ice condition in Yellow River funded by such kinds of fund program:Yellow River Institute of Hydraulic Research, Yellow River Conservancy Commission’s project "Research and Testing of the Automatic Monitoring System of the Yellow River Ice Conditions", Ministry of Water Resources public funds for scientific research specially in2012" Research and Testing of the Automatic Monitoring System of the Yellow River Ice Conditions(Project Number:201201080)", and National Natural Science Foundation of China (Project Number:51279122).Ice disaster in the Yellow River always give inestimable loss to people along the river and our country, so searching a effective pre-warning system for ice disaster is meaningful to prevention and reduction of national disasters and social sustainable development. The team including the author have used the ice detection method based on physical differences of air, ice and water to continuously detect ice condition of the fixed-point for the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia since2009.It makes a significant breakthrough, and obtaining the monitoring point’s ice data from birth to disappear. However, because in the past, the detecting system introduce the single-point’s detecting, the data obtained from the system don’t reflect the ice changing for cross section of river, and it is difficult to meet the demand for engineering application. Aim at the shortage of single-point, the thesis present a technical proposal that introducing ZigBee wireless sensor network to ice detecting for the Yellow River, and fusing various information technology, such as MCU, GPRS network, computer, etc. Finally, the design and application of multipoint monitoring system for the Yellow River ice situation based on ZigBee is finished, and achieving automatic ice detecting for multipoint monitoring in Yellow River, and providing comprehensive and reliable ice data for monitoring and forecast of ice disaster of Yellow River.For achieving the technology proposal, the thesis mainly involve5aspects of the research contents below:1. Based on the consultation of lots of Chinese and English reference, the detecting method uses new method based on physical differences of air, ice and water below analysis and summary of application character and shortage of commonly domestic and overseas detecting method of ice condition. Building on the basis, the author introduces ZigBee wireless sensor network to ice detecting for the Yellow River in order to achieve automatic multipoint detection and the function of network communication.2. The thesis introduces two key technology:testing principle of R-T ice thickness sensor and ZigBee technology, and selecting ZigBee wireless communication technology responsible for building wireless field network via the comparison of characters of several wireless communication technology in common.3. According to the character and demand of engineering application, we improve the control circuit and structure of R-T ice thickness sensor, and completing the design of control circuit and software for the system.4. Completing the formation of ZigBee wireless network and GPRS remote data transmission based on F8114-DTU and F8914-DTU designed Xiamen Four-Faith company.5. In view of field geographical environment and bad working condition, designing the measure of keeping warm and installation method for system, and the system had been installed in the Yellow River nearby Toudaoguai hydrometric station in Inner Mongolia in order to field testing for two months on January2,2013.The process of testing show that the multipoint monitoring system for Yellow River ice situation can achieve automatic ice detecting for multipoint monitoring in Yellow River, and basically completing design objective and task. By field testing, we discover some shortage and problem, and accumulate plentiful experience for the next step via giving some improved and perfect suggestions.
