Dynamic Analysis Of Wheel Loader And Fatigue Life Of Piston Rods

Wheel loader is one of the most important construction machinery, which is widely used in industry construction. Wheel loader cylinder piston rods are main components to control the motions of the work implement. Because of the bad working environment, long time continuous work and enduring huge fatigue alternating loads, piston rods fracture occasionally. The fracture of piston rods will lead to interruption of the wheel loader work implement, what is worse is cause serious accidents and threat to the personal safety.This paper pays attention to the fatigue reliability and life evaluation of wheel loader cylinder piston rods, based on the combined simulation method. Fatigue analysis needs three informations:the geometric information, loads information and material information. First of all, it is necessary to analyze the work implement mechanism and working conditions, and then figure out external working loads. Second, work implement three-dimensional model is built by using Pro/ENGINEER, and then be import to ADAMS for dynamic analysis. It could obtain the one-loop load spectrums of piston rods, the loads information. The third step is to check the static strength of piston rods by finite element analysis and get the geometric information including finite element models and the stress distribution. At last, according to fatigue analysis theory and material information, the final result of fatigue life of piston rods could be figure out by using MSC.Fatigue.This research may useful for shorten the product design cycle, setting reasonable service policies of three-guarantees or repair, and the remaining life research in the remanufacturing industry.
