Taking reasonable reinforcement technology and broaden measures to restore andimprove the bearing capacity and traffic capacity of old bridge, is feasible to prolong theservice life of bridge. But the current reinforcement designing specification andconstruction technology is still not perfected, and the technical requirements of bridgereinforcement structure are hard to reach. Through the investigation,founding that partof the reinforced bridge appeared a secondary disease, Such as the wide arch bridgestrengthened with reinforced concrete composite main arch, the reinforcement layer iseasy to appear longitudinal cracks. So researching the reasonable size of reinforcementlayer, especially transverse reasonable wide to guarantee bearing capacity and durabilityof reinforced bridge turns to be a great significance.Firstly, this paper summarizing structure characteristics, construction feasibility, theadvantages and disadvantages of strengthening economy, through detailedly introducingthe arch bridge reinforced structure and technical principles which reinforced byconcrete composite main arch reinforcing method. And Verified with an example, thatusing reinforced concrete composite main arch reinforcement method is fairly effectivemethod for arch bridge diseases. At the same time, through instances which obtainingthe design and construction process does not take targeted measures, concretereinforcement layer, the reinforced layer is easy to produce longitudinal cracks.The second, research the mainly reason of the longitudinal cracking causes andprocess of reinforced concrete layer based on fracture mechanics. Believing thatlongitudinal cracks in concrete reinforcement layer is a comprehensive processrather than a simple single factor.On the basis of the above reasons and processes of cracks, by comparing thecalculation of concrete temperature stress, concrete limited tensile strength, and theoriginal arch and the friction stress of reinforcement layer get flat horizontal condition,and deriving the free sliding zone length formula on temperature, thickness and width ofcomposite main arch ring reinforcement layer.Finally, depending on the reinforced lees yard bridge which on theChengdu-Chongqing Expressway, checking the existing state of reinforcement layer,and analyzing reinforcement layer stress index after using reasonable wide results, verify the rationality of wide setting. Summarize a series of the arch bridgereinforcement layer countermeasures and methods about the wide arch bridge by theresults of lees yard.Therefore, the reasonable wide research for servicing arch bridge, especially widearch bridge, this method is a breakthrough for bridge reinforcement technology, andreinforcement design theory.
