The paper discusses the points and method of product image design basedon the point of brand identity system,so that to make a more closely andaccurately relationship between product image and brand identity system.Firstly, the paper analyzes the status quo on the current market of brandidentity system and the design of the product image nowadays, and analyzes aspecific industry as an example in detail, then find out in the image of theproduct design there is a certain gap between domestic enterprises and theoverseas. Then comb the theories of brand identity system design and productimage, analysis the complementary relationship between brand identity systemand product image, expounds the importance of adding the product imagedesign into brand identity system. Secondly, for common product type inpresent market, the paper analyzes the product image evaluation and designelements that based on brand identity system from the point of view of thedesigners and operators, make product image with distinctive industrycharacteristics. Finally, the paper summarizes a set of practical product imagedesign method based on brand identity system, indicates the main points ofevaluation, maintenance, implementation and updating of product image.The core content of the paper, under the guidance of core values of thebrand, is making product image design more accurate, more systematic andstandardized, through transfering brand value, corporate identity and productfeatures as a whole to the final consumers, to strengthen brand influence andcompetitiveness.
