This paper designed a AC asynchronous motor test platform based on virtualinstrument and programmable controller. Based on LABVIEW, industrial PC and otherhardware equipment, intelligent testing system is established. As industrial PC for masterstation, the test platform realizes hardware configuration of the system, communicationconfiguration, control parameter setting and Monitoring of system status. As SiemensS7-300series PLC for slave station, the test platform realizes automatic control and logicaloperations in overall process. In data collecting section, data signal of measuringinstruments are accessed with data acquisition card and delivered to master station for cure.This platform adopts electric dynamometer consisting of the Siemens S120inverter andmotor electric dynamometer. It provides load for test motor. The test platform can satisfythe test requirement of the motor factory test and type test, and provides users with avariety of options. With friendly and intuitive HMI, flexible software and easy opration, theplatform is easy for secondary development and applicable to a variety of AC asynchronousmotor test.In the first chapter, general research situation of motor testing technology is introduced.In the second chapter, refer to the motor test standard, it introduces test method of severalkinds of typical motor test items. The hardware and function of test platform is in nextchapter. In the fourth chapter, it introduces software, HMI and upper computer. At last, itsummarizes the problems of system design and improvement methods. Then, itrecommends the future development direction of motor test system.
