Seismic behavior of the prestressed high strength concrete beams isstudied in the paper based on the low-cycle reversed load test of threeprestressed concrete beams, for which the strength grade of theconcrete, mild steel and prestressing strand is C80, HRBF500and1860MPa separately. The test results indicate that the main failuremode of the specimens is that the compression concrete at the topside crushed severely, while the tension reinforcing bars andprestressing strands were not broken; crushing of the high strengthconcrete was quite suddenly, inducing that strength decrease of thespecimens was relatively rapid; the load-deflection hysteresis loopsare relative fatter, and the specimens have enough energy dissipationcapacity; the yielding and ultimate strength of the specimens increasewith the reinforcing ratio, while the ductility factor is just theopposite; with the medium conversion reinforcing ratio, the testspecimens have certain deformation capacity under reversed load; theprestressed high strength concrete beams have preferabledisplacement restoring capacity; reducing the prestressed intensity λis helpful to increase the energy dissipation capacity of theprestressed high strength concrete beams.a nonlinear finite element model which is apply tohigh-strength concrete and high-strength steel Prestressed beamestablished by Canny, And use this model to cyclic loading testbeam simulation to study the seismic performance, analogvalues with experimental values are in good agreement.
