With the rapid development of Chinese economy, traffic is growing rapidly, as a result ofa variety of reasons, some asphalt pavement traffic soon serious early failures have occurred,such as rutting, water damage, cracks, pit slot, folding. At present, most of the domesticasphalt pavement using polymer modified asphalt, the modified asphalt high temperatureperformance and aggregate performance bond, to improve the high temperature stability ofasphalt pavement, water damage resistance, low temperature crack resistance and agingresistance. But studies show, polymer modified asphalt has some defects, such as in theproduction process and equipment needs large investment, in the transport and storage is veryinconvenient and so on.In recent years, a kind of natural asphalt modifier-rock asphalt, with its excellenttechnical performance, simple construction, economical and reasonable characteristics hasbeen paid more and more attention. Through many years of domestic and foreignexperimental research and engineering practice, rock asphalt modified asphalt has better roadperformance, having broad popularization and application prospects. But because of the rockasphalt road performance and application technology research lag, at present in our countrythe large-scale highway construction has not yet gained widespread application, so the rockasphalt in the road on a wide range of applications also need a period of time. In2011,Guangdong Mei River Highway Rock Asphalt Modified Asphalt in test section of paving, Ihave to be responsible for project construction work, therefore, this paper based on thisproject were paving test research, unifies the existing research results and on-siteimplementation, from the testing, construction, quality control and link analysis, such aspavement detection the evaluation and summary.By means of rock asphalt modified asphalt concrete in laboratory and test road detection,can get the following conclusions:In1, after modification, rock asphalt modified asphalt concrete technical indicators canmeet the specifications and design requirements.In2, rock asphalt" dry" technology is simple to use, modified asphalt and mixtureproduction simultaneously, without increasing the mechanical equipment, without changingthe mixing process, on aggregate, filler and anti-stripping agent material without specialrequirements, design, production and construction are consistent and normal process.In3, through testing, Marshall stability, immersion Marshall test residual stability, smoothness of pavement, structure depth, permeability coefficient and degree of compactionshall meet the requirements of specification. Therefore, studies suggest that the test road fieldproduction and field construction technology is successful, to the rock asphalt modifiedasphalt concrete production and construction to provide the reference.In4, rock asphalt modified asphalt has certain economic advantage, as energy prices rise,the advantage will continue to expand.
