Avionic system is an important component part of the aircraft. Its performance,safety and reliability are very important for the aircraft tactical performance andrequirements in the battle. Airborne audio system, an important part of the avionicssystem, is mainly used in voice communication between aircraft and externalenvironment, communication between members, alarm audio generation and navigationsound reactivation. It works in every flying. It’s an important guarantee of the fly safety.On traditional aircraft, analog audio is used for transmission, processing. However, badintegration and scalability are its weak point which makes it difficult to meet therequirements.For nearly50years, the technical level of the avionics system has development alot, from separate gradually to the joint, comprehensive and high-speed integration. Asone of the key technologies of the avionics system, airborne data bus has developedrapidly. Its transfer rate has upgrade from100Kb/s for ARINC-429bus to1Mb/s forMIL-STD-1553B bus. And now it can reach100Mb/s for AFDX bus. With thedevelopment of digital signal processing technology is more and more perfect,professional audio processing also turns to digital and network-oriented. Therefore, todesign an airborne digital audio system, which is used to substitute traditional analogaudio system, is significant in engineering.The significance of this thesis is that an airborne digital audio system based onthe AFDX transmission is designed. Not only the demand for traditional voicecommunication is met, noise problem in traditional audio system is also solved byincreasing audio process algorithm. It established a foundation for the projectimplementation.In this thesis, the current situation of the airborne data bus and audio processingalgorithms home and aboard are described firstly. Secondly, AFDX theory and audioprocessing algorithms used in the system is introduced. Thirdly, functional performancerequirements in the system are sorted and system proposal is formulated. At last, thehardware design of audio processing module which is based on ADSP21161SHARC series of the AD Company and AFDX terminal of PowerPC8207processor are finishedrespectively. In software work, some key module design and implement is introducedand system result is evaluated.
