As more and more equipment was used in aircraft and the growing number of tasks was required, it was forward higher requirements for processing ability of airborne data and transmission speed and bus bandwidth of data bus. The future information war for airborne information system can support high performance processing architecture, support high bandwidth real-time communication and data transmission, high reliability, large capacity, solid state storage, support for fault tolerance and comprehensive health management as well as the adaptability in the worse environment. According to four generations of avionics systems of different information processing technology, the airborne information processing system is toward highly integrated, open the Shared system development of architecture.Based on the integrated modular avionics system architecture models and standards, this papper presents an integrated information processing platform of which backbone network is AFDX. By use of OpenVPX system bus standard, it’s reduces the complexity of wiring and overall weight greatly.After analyzed the comprehensive information processing system function and performance requirements this paper puts forward the corresponding solutions. The hardware system is divided into five modules: Information Processing module, Exchange Management module, AFDX Interface module, The large capacity storage module and Power module. And implemented software design based on the hardware.of which the system was divided into three layers: hardware and support layer, core layer and application layer. Combined with the application demand the system software was divided into three modules: integrated task management, data processing and redundancy management. Each module is divided into different tasks one by one. Integrated task management module is responsible for the initialization of all tasks, resource allocation and scheduling management; Data processing module is responsible for data receiving, data storage, data sending and unloading. Redundancy management is responsible for system redundancy management, system self-check and troubleshooting., which ensured the reliability of the system. We adopted Vx Works real-time operating system and Wind River Workbench development tools. Good Vx Works provides the functionality and performance guarantee for the system software design by real-time microkernel and efficient task management system. Workbench development environment also provides users with a complete development tools and a good development interface. At last implemented system software functionality and performance testing. Verified the feasibility of the system.
