There is no science without measurement.Since the seventies of last century,Digital storage oscilloscope was invented,a variety of techniques have been developed rapidly.Digital storage oscilloscope has replaced analog oscilloscope and become one of the tools familiar to the majority of electronic engineers.Today’s Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO) is much more advanced, a variety of new technology is used in the research and development of DSO,so that when we capture the signal waveform,we can do it faster and more accurate.But the high-end oscilloscope, often means higher prices and higher costs.for many small and medium-sized enterprises, this is not a good news.But when we develop new products,digital storage oscilloscope is an indispensable measurement tool.So it is necessary to develop a low-cost digital storage oscilloscope.According to the phenomenon mentioned above, this paper discusses the development of a low-cost digital storage oscilloscope technology.The main content of the article is to find out an optimized way to further reduce the production costs based on an old module of oscilloscope.Optimization of signal conditioning channels and trigger channels. Signal conditioning channel is the key factor to decided the bandwidth of oscilloscope.It is mainly constituted by the passive damping network module, the impedance transformation circuit module, AC/DC coupling circuit module and fixed gain circuit modules.With the development of science technology,many modules must be implemented with integrated circuit in the early stage, can be now implemented with discrete devices. In this case, it is possible to greatly reduce the production costs.Optimization of signal acquisition and storage control circuit. Signal acquisition and storage control circuit is mainly responsible for signal acquisition and storge,and then send it to the follow-up of the waveform display circuit correctly. The main hardware structure of the circuit is FPGA and ADC.With the development of technology,the new generation of products will replace the FPGA and the ADC and use alternating sampling technology, logic lock technology,not only to guarantee the performance of products at the same time, also further reduce the cost of the product.
