For most designers, the color design process depends largely on their perceptual knowledge towards color itself. As the core of emotional consciousness, perceptual thinking cannot convey precisely the designing process of color, which makes the imitation of designs impossible; another pitfall should be taken into consideration is that it limits the intelligent design of color. In view of these problems listed above, this paper intends to complete the imitations of color design on the level of intelligence through modeling of the color design process; additionally, through the method of applying artificial intelligence algorithms, the color intelligent design system can be built up, which perfectly matches the public expectations towards color design.Based on the theoretical rationales of image representation of color intelligent design, this paper put forward a new method of color intelligent design, which can be illustrated as establishing a knowledge system of color design and formulating the model of color image representation through the study and application for the algorithms of artificial intelligence, and then making the color design as precise as to meet public needs by constant feedback and adaptations. The specific research results of this paper include as follows:first, propose the establishment of the SVM classification algorithm that can be applied in the model of the color image representation in order to achieve the classification for the evaluation value of the image representation; second, the design of PSO algorithm applied in color design, with the weighting method of evaluation value as its adaptation function. The test results show that the SVM-based methods can be better when classifies the image representation, and in the case of SVM with high classification accuracy, the PSO algorithm can be better to finish the design.Based on the proposed color intelligent design methods listed above, this paper would complete preliminarily the design and realization of the color intelligent system. This system is designed based on.NET Framework3.5application platform, and we built the system by the mixed programming method of MATLAB. The development of the system follows the waterfall model of software engineering, not surprisingly, the three-layer-structure system model allows the system be in a good maintainability and extensibility, and makes it easier for the extended development. The system makes the functions of the color image representation of PSO method study and color design available. Besides, this system also provides a very friendly interface for the users to complete the color design quickly, which is of great value.
