As the body and main failure parts of the scraper conveyor, the life and reliability of the Middle Trough is very important for coal production efficiency. At present, the analysis of the Middle Trough is mainly static strength analysis and fatigue life analysis, and reliability analysis is very few, especially for the life analysis considering the wear. In this paper, The fatigue reliability analysis, static reliability analysis, static strength analysis and fatigue life analysis considering Wear are respectively did with ANSYS and FE-SAFE.The reliability of Middle Trough is researched in this paper, which include the statics reliability and fatigue reliability. Firstly, the Condition Analysis and Failure Analysis on the Middle Trough are did in turn. Secondly, according to drawings, the solid modeling of Middle Trough is established by UG. And, after importing the solid modeling into ANSYS, the static strength analysis and the static reliability analysis is respectively did. Thirdly, Preparing load spectrum and defining material properties for the Middle Trough is finished in FE-SAFE, and fatigue reliability analysis is did after the results file of the static strength analysis is import into FE-SAFE. Finally, a proper extension is made to the application range of linear cumulative damage theory, the fatigue reliability analysis considering the wear is carried out using the linear cumulative damage theory. Through the study of the Middle Trough, We got its reliability, the distribution of the maximum stress, the fatigue life and fatigue reliability, etc, which provides us more comprehensive, more accurate and more sensitive information and data than Routine analysis for the research and use of the Middle Trough. In this paper, the linear fatigue cumulative theory application scope is expanded, and the theory is applied to the fatigue analysis considering wear, which make the organic combination of the wear life and the fatigue life. The result calculated Through this method has more practical value, and the result shows that most of the Middle Trough scrapped in the form of wear failure, This method provides a method and basis for the fatigue analysis considering wear.
