With countermeasure research on Shizhu County urban drinking water source protection project as the topic, on the basis of urban drinking water safety guarantee theory method currently in China, deep and meticulous analysis was conducted on the county urban drinking water quality, water pollution status and water and soil loss status by collecting relevant technical data of urban area in Shizhu County and the solution to protect the urban water source was obtained through countermeasures such as point pollution treatment, area pollution treatment and water and soil loss treatment. The main achievements and conclusion of this paper are as follows:1. The analysis indicated that area pollution had a serious pollution to water quality of reservoir, treatment measures such as creating ecological agriculture and ecological demonstration area, promoting methane, treating rural environmental pollution and carrying out soil testing and implementing scientific fertilization can be employed to treat the area pollution in rural areas and effectively protect the environment in water source.2. According to the theory and method of water and soil loss prevention and treatment, the root reason for water and soil loss in the reservoir area was analyzed and principle for water and soil loss in the reservoir area was established; through analysis, it was concluded that organically combining engineering measures and vegetation measures, mutual complementation of point, line and area water and loss prevention and treatment, taking forest, grass and soil measures to preserve water and soil and protect the new ground surface are inseparable measures for treatment of water and soil loss in the reservoir area.3.Against the current situation of pollution from Shuanghe Coal Mine in the water source reservoir area and topographical and geological conditions surrounding the coal mine, it was proposed that centrally treat the sewage in Shuanghe Coal Mine and building silt arrester in the coal position to prevent mineral waste residual and coal slag entering the reservoir are special engineering measures to protect the water source.4.By observing the preliminary implementation effect of countermeasures proposed in this research, the treatment and protection effect has appeared preliminarily. The water source pollution analysis method in small area and protection measures proposed in this paper are reasonable and feasible and can provide reference for the similar projects.
