With the acceleration of urbanization and motorization, the amount of vehiclessuccessively increase, urban traffic congestion problem has become the most importanttroubled issue in big cities of China, and which continues to deteriorate. Big cities’central area has large building cubage, high population density and stronge trafficaccumulation, the traffic congestion in which is particularly serious.Considering roadtraffic characteristics of big cities’ central area, how to organize transport and alleviatetraffic congestion have become the top priority of the traffic organization andmanagement in big cities.Theories and methods of setting traffic microcirculationsystem in the big cities’ central area have important theoretical and practicalsignificance.Firstly, based on ancient research and application, this paper introduces the conceptof big cities’ central area and its traffic characteristics. While it also studies theconcept, classification and principle of one way traffic organization and trafficmicro-circulation.As well as it analyzes the functional properties of microcirculatorysystem and discusses its influencing factors.Secondly, the paper analyzes theroad-network and traffic conditions of setting traffic microcirculation system in bigcities’ central area.Again, this paper studies the road-network traffic organizationoptimization, parking organization, information inducing flag setting, slow trafficorganization of traffic micro-circulatory system. At same time,it proposes the setupprocess of traffic micro-circulatory system. Finally, through the practicing example themain theoretical models and algorithms in this paper are verified, and the whole thoughtand process of setting traffic microcirculation are demonstrated. The thesis puts forward a method of setting traffic microcirculation system whichhas been suitable for the big cities’ central area, accordingly, enriches trafficorganization and management theory. For alleviating traffic congestion in central area, this paper has the guidance function.
