For the past few years, external thermal insulation system of the building fires occurfrequently, causing serious property damage and casualties, and the reason is caused by theimproper selection of insulation materials. Therefore, improving the building exteriorinsulation system of fire prevention performance becomes the hot topic in the constructionindustry, also become the key to research and solve urgently. The external thermal insulationtechnology is very popular with people, for its energy conservation, environmentalprotectionand convenient construction. So external wall external thermal insulation system’sfire prevention technology research has important practical significance and broad prospectsfor development.This article from how to select the building exterior insulation materials this pendingproblem start, Based on the merits of the three types of the commonly used thermal insulationmaterial analysis: Foaming materials of the thermal insulation performance is better than thatof hard and soft material, and using polyurethane foam insulation board is the best, but thepoor fireproof performance. This paper research on the flame retardant performance in-depth,through optimization of flame retardants formula, so as to produce flame retardantpolyurethane foam insulation materials. And by using the cone calorimeter combustionperformance experiment comparison analysis. It was found that: Compared with not for flameretardant material, flame retardant polyurethane foam insulation board of the ignition time(TTI) shorten, the mass loss rate (MLR) provision there ahead of time, protective layer andthe surface is generated quickly, the peak heat release rate (HRR) reduce to50%, smoke less1/2, and carbon monoxide generation rate (COY) reduce to30%. So delayed the burning andthe occurrence of flashover,and studies have shown that good flame retardant polyurethanefoam insulation board smoke suppression, side sex, small combustion performance is greatly improved.In order to optimize the building exterior insulation system construction, making thesystem has better ability to resist fire, this article is based on the large size model window firetest, and based on polystyrene board thin plastering exterior insulation systems and postcontrast test build by laying bricks or stones polystyrene board exterior insulation system, toprove that: Commonly used polystyrene board thin plastering exterior insulation system,duing to adopt protective layer and the special structure treatment, basicly, does not haveability to stop the spread of the flame.And at the beginning of the test less than7min camecrashing. And build by laying bricks or stones polystyrene board exterior insulation system,adopted10mm thick layer,600mm×450mm of warehouse construction and no cavitystructure, by13min peak combustion after fire, effective to prevent the spread of flame. Fireresistance was significantly better than polystyrene board thin plastering exterior insulationsystem, building exterior insulation system when using protective layer of certain thickness,appropriate size of the warehouse structure and no cavity after practice, can make the externalwall thermal insulation system has better fire resistance.In this paper, by combining engineering examples analysis, proves the conclusion iscorrect, and fully shows that after optimization, the building exterior insulation system, andenergy saving and more superior fire retardancy. The results for the building exteriorinsulation system of fire protection technology research and engineering application providesa certain theoretical basis and reference value.
