In recent years, a new traffic organization (retrograde bus lanes) combinedone-way traffic and bus lane have been implemented in some large cities to alleviate thetraffic inefficiencies and detour serious of one-way traffic road network passengers inregional commercial center. However, road traffic characteristics of retrograde bus lanesare lack of system analysis and the effect of implementation is lack of technicalfeasibility studies, and there are not technical feasibility studies in the planning andconstruction. So, it’s urgency to analysis the road traffic characteristics and study thesetting conditions of the new traffic organization.Combined with the examples of implemented bus lanes in Harbin, through atypical road traffic surveys in major cities at home and abroad retrograde bus laneimplementation of practical experience, analysis of the retrograde bus lane on the mainroad traffic characteristics, summarized its existence strengths and weaknesses.According to the characteristics of retrograde busway selected some typical trafficfunction indicators were influencing factors, in the traditional theory of traffic flowbased on the proposed method of calculating the index parameters to construct thecomputational model and quantified using the model set retrograde transport lane roadtraffic function indicator parameters before and after the changes.In front of the traffic function indicators based on retrograde busway system setconditions for research, mainly drawing ordinary bus lane standard setting conditionsindex research ideas, from a geographic conditions, road conditions, the number of buslines, bus traffic and social aspects of the lane traffic analysis and modeling, accordingto the theoretical results presented retrograde bus lane comprehensive set criteriaspecified recommendations.Applying AHP in Harbin typical sections of the operating results for acomprehensive evaluation with Ordinary two-way traffic, ordinary one-way traffic, buslanes retrograde. Comparison to three kinds of traffic organization’s strengths andweaknesses, and then set the condition indicators combined with the status quoretrograde bus lanes from road infrastructure, traffic management, regulatory policy andother aspects of the improvement measures.
