Car-dumper is an important equipment on coal unloading production line in port. Carpositioner plays an important role in the Car-dumper system. It is the car positioner whichhas more significant effect on the coal unloading production line. Therefore, the carpositioner on the production line is analyzed and studied, and the problems during itsoperation are solved, and the paper has the important practical value.The No.1car dumper system of Huanghua port was designed and manufactured byRexroth Company during2001-2002. Since the operations for a long time with highloading and existed defaults in the original design, the car positioner presents the troubleof melding line cracked and it is observed which significantly effects the normal operationof the car-pusher system. It is necessary to redesign the structure of the car positioner.Based on the analysis of the operating principle of pitching mechanism, theKinematics analysis of the former pitching mechanism is presented. The novel pitchingmechanism is designed, the Kinematics analysis of the novel pitching mechanism is done.It provides the theoretical basis for the improvement of the pitching mechanism.The static analysis of the former big arm is presented. And the weakness part of thebig arm is found. The static analysis of the novel big arm is done, and the safety of thenovel big arm is verified.Based on the hydraulic system’s operation principle of the car positioner, the analysisis presented. The defects of the hydraulic system is found, and the solution is raised.
