Design And Basic Characteristics Research Of Linear Generator Used For Turbine Engine

Turbine engine is a kind of rotary vane engines using high temperature and high pressure gas asworking substance. It is widely used for sea and air transportation on account of many uniqueadvantages of the turbine. Linear generator is becoming a hot research topic in the field of motor andits control with its rapid response, high efficiency and high precision. Combining the turbine engineand linear generator can save energy, improve the efficiency and precision of control, promote thedevelopment of new energy utilization.This topic originates from the civil space "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" pre-study project. This paperresearched the Linear Generator which transforms mechanical energy caused by the back and forthstroke of the turbine engine into electrical energy directly. Two kinds of motors with new structureand working principle are proposed: Permanent Magnet Synchronous Linear Generator and DoublySalient Electromagnetic Linear Generator.This paper optimized the preliminarily designed permanent magnet linear synchronous generator.With the comparison of the external and power characteristics of the generators with differentdimension parameters, the optimal structure of linear generator can be obtained, of which the no-loadcharacteristics and load characteristics are studied in detail.This paper also researched the structure and operation principle of doubly salient electromagneticlinear generator. Changing the shape of stator and rotor can obtain the doubly salient electromagneticlinear generator.Comparing the external and power characteristics of the machines with different basic structuresize and the excitation and armature winding turns, which can obtain the optimal structure of thegenerator used for study of no-load characteristics and load characteristics of the doubly salientelectromagnetic linear generator.We can get a better understanding on the characteristics of the electromagnetic field about linearmotor through the above analysis. Meanwhile, the feasibility and effectiveness of permanent magnetlinear synchronous generators and doubly salient electro-magnetic linear generator are demonstrated.
