Face gear transmission is cylindrical gear and face gear meshing new gear transmission, toachieve similar cone gear space intersection or alternative drive. Because of the research on face geartransmission in domestic started later, the calculation method of the bending stress of face gear study,is still in a concentrated load loading mode theory research stage, has not begun relevant verificationtest. In order to further study face gear bending stress calculation method, verified the bending stresscalculation method by test. this paper research on the bending stress calculation method and test offace gear drive, to lay the foundation for face gear engineering application,realize the orthogonal facegear drive of the calculation of the bending stress of the parameterization.First of all, the finite element method has been used to analysis the bending stress of theorthogonal face gear drive. In the orthogonal face gear drive of the bending stress analysis andcalculation formula quasi time, firstly according to the principle of orthogonal test method, with theorthogonal table to make sure the factors and levels of the finite element method analysis model,using concentrated load loading and uniform load two loading mode, analysis the bending stress ofthe orthogonal face gear drive by finite element, observe the bending stress distribution law in twokinds of load loading modes; then using the least square method to fitting the results of the finiteelement analysis, to observe the bending stress calculation formula of face gear dive in two loadingways, finally, studied and analyzed the relative error of the fitting formula value and finite elementmethod analysis of the value of the two load loading mode, verified the rationality of the bendingstress fitting calculation formula of the orthogonal face gear drive of two load loading ways.Secondly, using test method to study the bending stress of the orthogonal face gear. Firstaccording to the orthogonal face gear drive meshing relationship, design a suitable bending stress testjig of the orthogonal face gear drive; then test the bending stress of the orthogonal face gear whichparameters was same to the finite element analysis model; in the final, analyzed the relative errorbetween the test value and two load loading mode fitting formula for calculating the value. Accordingto this paper relative error analysis results, the fitting calculation formula correction coefficient is0.92,for orthogonal face gear intensity and in-depth study lay the foundation.Finally, according to the result of the bending stress calculation method and test research of theorthogonal face gear drive in this paper, wrote the orthogonal face gear drive bending stresscalculation procedure, developed the calculation software module. This software module can calculateorthogonal face gear drive bending stress and safety coefficient through inputting the basic parametersand working conditions, realized the orthogonal face gear drive bending stress calculation andintensity parameterization.
