Civil aircraft cockpit ergonomics design is an important means to ensure that pilots safe,comfortable and efficient flight The the cockpit layout optimization can be the guarantor machineergonomics optimization, undoubtedly has important significance. The main content of this paper isas follows:Based on back-stepping theory, from the cockpit features ergonomics requirements, combinedwith airworthiness criteria, domestic and international experience in the development of civil aircraft,accident analysis results, as well as the operation of the crew members, the factors related to the civilaircraft cockpit ergonomics is given.And then the cockpit ergonomics standards system isestablished.Based on the civil aircraft cockpit ergonomics design guidelines system, the theory of the cockpitlayout is given by the layout ergonomics. Mainly researching the display controller layout guidelines,the visual display layout guidelines, the controller’s layout guidelines, console layout guidelines andinstrument panel layout criteria through research and analysis, the cockpit layout design rules aresummarized.Genetic algorithms is proposed to optimize the civil aircraft cockpit layout.Solve thequantification problem of principles and quantify the layout of the principle into componentsimportance weights. Encode layout elements with object-oriented real-coded method and build thecockpit layout mathematical model based on the degree of matching.Solve the optimization modelwith the genetic algorithms.Elitist strategy is used to avoid the prematurity due to a number ofadvantages during the selection process.In order to maintain the diversity of the population and ensurethe convergence of the genetic algorithm,use the adaptive genetic algorithm to calculate the crossoverand mutation rate.Apply genetic algorithms to a certain type of aircraft cockpit layoutand get the result.Theanalysis and validation to the results of optimization,the results show that the genetic algorithmsoptimization is useful to the layout optimization calculations and the optimization results meet therequirements of the cockpit layout criterion.
