Development of large civil aircraft is our country’s significant strategic decision to improve thecapacity for independent innovation and to enhance the core competitiveness, and since the generaltrend is to design large civil aircraft in series, so the development of subsequent models based onC919is an important research idea. As a human-machine interaction node of aircraft control, cockpithas been one of the important aspects of aircraft design. With the reduction of mechanical failures, flight crew’s human factors become a major obstacle restricting flight safety, making ergonomicsparticularly important. The main work of this thesis is components design and layout analysis of cockpit based onergonomics. First, through comparative study of the advanced design concepts of Boeing and Airbusand discussing the features of C919cockpit layout, we analyzed and summarized the basic principlesof the general layout of cockpit. Second, through analyzing GJB4856-2003and the current airlineflight crews’ body criterion, we calculated the body data should be used in the design of cockpit bystatistics. Then we designed the eye site and windshield referring to aircraft design manual. Third, wedesigned seats, steering column, throttle, pedal, main instrument panel, center console, top instrumentpanel, visor panel and HUD based on ergonomics, and built the3D models of them by CATIA.Fourth, we set the human data of DELMIA and calculated the distances from each component to theeye site in order to guide the cockpit layout on the basis of ergonomics. Finally, depending on theDomain Analysis, Reachability Analysis and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment of cockpit layout, weverified the rationality of cockpit design and layout.
