Development Of Online Noise Check System For Vehicle Sunroof Based On Labview

With the rapid development of the automobile industry, the passengers’ requestto the seating comfort becomes higher and higher, so it becomes stricter and stricter tocontrol the noise during the use of the vehicle. Currently, to most vehicle sunroofmanufactures worldwide, the most common ways to test the abnormal noises is tobuild a noise chamber on the production line and subjectively judged by theexaminers. The result will be very subjective and differs due to different people.Based on the Labview and its hardware system of NI Company, the research triesto use the invented system technology to develop an online noise check system forvehicle sunroof. There are four main processes to establish the system:1) Analyze the problems which led to the sunroof abnormal noises during themanufacture. Find out the root causes. Collect abnormal pattern of manifestation andtheir characteristics.2) Complete the hardware design, including choosing proper sensor, signalconditioner and data acquisition card, and integrated with the final testing station ofthe current production line, so as to establish the whole hardware part of the totaltesting system.3) Based on the Labview as the software development environment of the system,complete the human-machine interface of the system and the other programdevelopment including data acquisition, signal pre-solving, signal analysis andautomatic identification. The signal analysis is key to the system, including the timedomain analysis, frequency domain analysis and the wavelet packet based timefrequency analysis.4) Set the threshold value to each testing index of the system, and complete theeffective testing and compare the characteristics of each analysis method during theexperimental verification, by using the system to test the abnormal noises of each typeof the sunroof.The system used during the sunroof production, can help to correctly find out thefailure, even in the noisy production environment. It avoids the subjective assumptionof human being. By using this system, the company will no longer need to invest onthe noise chamber for each production line. It enormously decreases the cost ofcompany’s fixed investments. At the same time, the system can provide reference toother manufacture companies who are looking for better ways to online test the product fault.
