The structure of compounded raw soil wall is a new system for village residentialbuilding. The structure is not only has the traditional local raw soil structure’sadvantages, such as: easy production, energy conservation, environmental protection. atthe same time, has good seismic performance. It is suitable for the lower, rural housestructure’s development. This paper was based on previous research achievements, theraw soil composite wall structure’s main stress components-raw soil composite wall asthe research object, by using the method of experimental research, theoretical analysiscombined with numerical simulation, researched the structure of compounded raw soilwall’s seismic performance. On the basis of this, we present the raw soil composite wallstructure’s design methods such as calculation model, formula for calculating theultimate bearing capacity and construction measures. The main works of this paper canbe described as follows:(1) On the basis of experimental research of early stage, there is a comparativeanalysis on the experiment of compounded raw soil wall and the ecological compositewall with aerated concrete blocks under low reversed cyclic loading, the paper presentsfailure mode and process of raw soil composite wall; and discussed the wall’s ductility,energy dissipation, collapse resistance and other seismic performance. The analysisshowed that the compounded raw soil wall has good ductility and energy dissipationcapacity and a moderate carrying capacity. The structure is meet the needs of low-riserural house.(2) By using the method of nonlinear numerical analysis, to establish raw soilcomposite wall finite element model, combined with experimental study to verify thecorrectness of the finite element model and the rationality of the wall’s failure mode; Through the establishment model of composite wall filled with different block, verifiedthe raw soil composite wall has good ductility and energy dissipation capacity and acertain bearing capacity; By set up raw soil composite wall model with different forms,to validate the formula for calculating the bearing capacity. The formula calculationresults and the numerical results are in good consistent, which showed that the formulahas certain precision and applicability for practical engineering design.(3) Based on the study of previous research achievements and experiment results,to research the raw soil composite wall structure’s design method, and puts forward thestructure’s calculation model, the formula for calculating the ultimate bearing capacityand seismic design method. Combined with the construction features of the pilot project,the paper present the raw soil composite wall structure’s limit of height and floor,connection between walls, and the structural measures and technical requirements. Allthis is for the raw soil composite wall structure in the application for the lower ruralresidential construction to provide reference.
