Twin-tower high-rise building structure, which is widely used in recent years, is akind of complicated tall structures. It is flexible to arrange the structures, not only tosatisfy the building type and functional requirements, but also to suit to the need ofdevelopment of modern city economy. Theories and design methods of two-tower tallbuilding structure have been researched. In this paper, researched the characteristics ofseismic response of twin-tower structure with enlarged base by vibration mode, period, seismic force and displacement and so on.In this paper, as an example, the finite element program SAP2000was used todindynamic analysis. And the models of the single-tower high-rise building withenlarged base with enlarged base were built. Modal analysis and response spectrumanalysis and elastic time-history analysis in a one-way seismic were done. The commonrules have been derived from analysis and comparsons of these research instance. Theinfluence of seismic response on the base height, base stiffness and the singlestrengthened story of the structural arrangement on symmetrical twin-tower structurewas analyzed. Then, from performance-based seismic design for the design of a new concept, explaining the seismic design concepts and methods and the introduction ofperformance-based seismic structure of the twin towers. Supplementary structure inmedium earthquake resilience, shock do not yield calculations, under the fortificationintensity to ensure adequate security. At last, to study the torsional response of twin-tower structure with enlarged baseunder earthquakes, it summarized the reasonable method for calculating thedisplacement, period and the reverse of the twin-tower structure, proposed to reduce the engineering measures of torsional response of high-rise twin-tower building.
