Anti-Locked Braking System (ABS) is an important active safety device of the car, it canshorten the braking distance in emergency braking process, and maintain steering ability. ABScontrol strategy is the core of the ABS, control methods directly affect the performance of thecar’s braking, therefore, further study of the control strategy is very important.In this paper, we analyzed the stability of the direction of the vehicle when braking,made a depth understanding to the basic structure and principle of ABS, at the same time alarge number of documents and comprehensive on the basis of previous studies to establishcar ABS mathematical model, including vehicle system model, the wheel tire model and thehydraulic brake system model, made a modeling foundation for control strategy. On the basisstudy of switch control, PID control and fuzzy control theory, using the graphicalprogramming language LabVIEW established pavement recognition program, switchcontroller, PID controller, fuzzy controller and CarSim vehicle controller, combined ABSmathematics model to establish appropriate control procedures and auxiliary procedures, andmake single wheel vehicle model and CarSim vehicle model simulation in high, medium, lowadhesion coefficient road.Switch control, PID control, fuzzy control can shorten the braking distance, but effect ismore pronounced in the low adhesion coefficient road; The PID control is best in the highadhesion coefficient road, fuzzy control is best in the low adhesion coefficient road, But not acontroller is always best in a variety of road conditions; ABS control strategy should beselected according to the different braking conditions, using identification method to realizecontrol strategy combined simulation of the butt road pavement, to improve the braking effect;Single-wheel vehicle model control rules can be used for simple optimization CarSim vehiclemodel simulation; the ABS simulation platform developed intuitive interface, easy to operate,has good man-machine interaction.
