Compared to the other motor control systems, permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) control system is obviously going with many advantages. With the effectivenessindexes it is more energy-saving, higher power and torque density and so on. With thecontrol performances its response is quicker and more accurate. With the technical processthe design is more flexible and the construct is simpler. With these inherent advantages,nowadays PMSM control system stands for the development tendency of motor drive andcontrol industry.China is well known as kingdom of rare earth. Both the research of rare earthpermanent magnetic material and the design of PMSM have reached the internationaladvanced level in home. But the qualities of the domestic product of PMSM control systemand development of motor drive and control industry are still a great gap with the advancedlevel of America, Japan, and German etc. Therefore the studies of this subject haveimportant significance to the motor drive and control industry of our country. The mainresearch work is carried out as follows:Firstly, this paper investigated and summarized the present situation of PMSM controltechnology and industry based on the general background of international economicglobalization. Then it expounded the meaning of the work and the growing trend of PMSMcontrol system. And also it elaborated the selection of control technique.Secondly, the article analyzed the principle all the control technique selected upon themathematical model of PMSM. Meanwhile it recommended the tuning algorithm of thecontrol system and the implement method of digital space vector pulse width modulationstrategy (SVPWM).Thirdly, the thesis presented the all the parts of the hardware circuit, illustrated the keypoints of design, and stated the test approach of most units of the circuit. Also it explainedthe crucial programs of the software project and the main point of the debugging in detail.And it displayed the process of local debugging and the results of experiments, which arecontrolled by the constant proportion of voltage to frequency control technique and currentvector control technique respectively.Finally, on the basis of the development process the Master dissertation provided asuggestive development steps. Combined to the imperfections it gives the direction of workin the future.
