With the improvement of people’s living standards and the increasing number of high-rise buildings, people’s demand for elevator is increasingly widespread and elevator monitoring system get more attention of manufacturers and users. As the high development of Internet and communication technology, elevator monitoring system is no longer limited to a fixed computer what is used as a monitoring center by using PC to connect with field bus. Remote and real-time monitoring systems are able to get better control of lifts. On this basis, this paper propose the elevator remote monitoring system, which function is getting running state data, fault information for maintenance personnel to discover failures, analyze and troubleshooting.According to the needs of the monitoring system and analyzing the exit problems, this paper proposed the overall design of the communication system combining with CAN bus technology and industrial Ethernet technology. The program aimed at implementing CAN bus connected to the Internet.This paper use LPC2368microcontroller as the core and design the CAN module and Ethernet module to build the hardware platform. Then conduct a detail design of the software communication, which include device driver, TCP/IP protocol, and build a complete data path. According to the data communication problem, use heartbeat packets to maintain the reliability of the communication system, so that the elevator acquisition devices can access to the Internet through the CAN bus, and Internet data center can achieve access to the elevator acquisition equipment through this system, Then achieve the purpose of the two-way communication.
