This dissertation is divided into two parts for elaboration. The first part covers therelevant theories which includes the concept of construction organization design, the basisand principle of compilation, and the content of the plan. Also, the function ofconstruction management plan in the project management is discussed. Studies of how tocompile the plan is also presented.Knowledge from the studies and its findings as presented in the first part is utilized indeveloping construction management plan for the Tian cheng jin jiang yuan project, and inthe second part. Details of how to develop the state of art, economic,safe and reliableconstruction management plan is fully elaborated. The elaboration is also furthersubstantiated by description on and allowance made for the special constructioncharacteristics, important construction sequences and critical controlling points of theproject. Finally, assessment on both direct and indirect benefit by the constructionmanagement plan is presented and it concludes that a substantial improvement is achievedin terms of project quality, duration, and safety. The plan also brings about better socialand economic benefit. The author believes that the success of the constructionmanagement plan for the Shenzhen project is a milestone for developing a rationale theoryfor compilation of this kind of plan. It can be used by the others for beneficial reference.
