| With the demand for ship maneuverability being higher and higher, full-rotatingpropeller has been widely used in engineering ships, military vessels, underwater vehicleswhich require higher maneuverability and flexibility. Owing to the energy crisis and the oilprice rising, people begin to pay attention to the efficiency of energy. Controllable pitchpropeller can take full advantage of the power of the main engine. As a result, it canimprove the efficiency of the propeller propulsion and save energy. On the one hand, it isconducive to environmental protection. On the other hand, it has a certain economic value.Controllable pitch propeller is the development direction of ship propulsion. Its structureoptimization and performance improvement is the research emphasis of current propulsion.This article is mainly about the design and research on the mechanism of adjustablepitch propeller whose power is2500kw and diameter is2.8m. Following are what the authorhas done:1. Collected the information about controllable pitch propeller mechanism and knownits principle and structure. Compared the structure of different controllable pitch propellermechanism. Summarized up the advantages and disadvantages of the controllable pitchpropeller mechanisms.2. Proposed a new structure program which can be applied to the controllable pitchadjustable paddle mechanism. This program reduces the number of seal parts and thedifficulty of seal. Comparing with the traditional controllable pitch mechanism, it reducesthe number of parts in the propeller hub and has a lot of advantages.3. With virtual prototype, we have simulated and analysed controllable pitchmechanism. It is tested that the controllable pitch mechanism functions well with aminimum driving power that is given, and it meets the requirement of time limit ofcontrolling the pitch according to the Rules and Regulation for the Construction andClassification of Sea-going Steel Ships(2009). At the same time, we got the runningparameters of each part and component in this working condition, including velocity,acceleration, angular velocity, the biasing force between the moving members etc. Wecan get the information that the motion parameters of the various components consistentwith the parameters of design conditions.4. Combined with the function of Motion and Simulation of Solidworks, the author hasdone the transient analysis of the blade connecting body. The motion parameters betweenparts have been got by meeting the requirements of specifications. Then time quantum whenthe parts suffers more stress can be got according the moment. Maximum stress distributionof parts at the larger force moment can be known by simulation.5. According to the position of the biggest stress occurs, adjusted the size, structure andheat-treat pattern connection body. To ensure the structural strength. |
