With the rapid economic development of our country, people’s living condition hasbeen greatly improved, naturally, people’s requirements for living environment arebecoming more and more strict,a good comfortable living environment is maintainedby HVAC system, it means that the more comfort, the more energy consumption, so itwill lead to a surge in China’s building energy consumption, but the building energyconsumption occupies a large proportion in the total energy consumption in China.Since the eleventh five years plan, our country advocates energy-saving, emissionreduction and takes the road of sustainable development, so how to decrease buildingenergy consumption become our HVAC technicians’ primary task.There is a large part of energy consumption in the total building energyconsumption can be saved by some measures, so we may say the potential ofenergy-saving in building is great, for air-conditioning systems, we can optimize theallocation, put forward reasonable control strategy and rigorous control system toachieve the purpose of energy-saving.In my paper, I firstly introduce some basic knowledge of VAV air conditioningsystem, including the principles, types, characteristics and some control of VAV airconditioning system, in addition, I also introduce the simulation software-TRNSYS andthe mathematical model of the device to facilitate the establishment of system modeland raise a good control strategy.Then use TRNbuild to build a three floors building model and detailly constructthe VAV system model, I constitute two different control strategies for the same buildingmodel, the using process and method of control strategy in TRNSYS-Studio have beenintroduced detailly.Finally, in the premise of achieving a comfortable indoor living environment, thecomparative analysis of the respective and total energy consumption under two differentcontrol strategies has been made, the results show that the optimal control can saveenergy20%than the general control in total consumption, and the energy-saving effectof water chiller, boiler is not obvious, the energy-saving rate is respectively18%and15%, fan, pump energy-saving effect is remarkable, the energy-saving rate isrespectively32%and30%.This simulation process can provide reference for practical engineering of VAV airconditioning control system design and optimization operation.
