With the fast development of civil aviation transport and rapid increase of this traffic,multi-terminal and multi-area management tends to be the trend of civil aviation; however it also makesairport operation and management more complicated. As we know, airport gate is a core resource of anairport, so the assignment of airport gate is a primary job in the daily operation and management. Aneffective and reasonable assignment plan could not only produce huge economic benefits, but alsoincrease the safety level of civil aviation transportation. So, this paper has distinct practical value byresearching airport gate assignment under multi-terminal and multi-area management from the aspectsof safety and economic benefit.Based on the research of domestic and foreign scholars, this paper has worked on those aspects:firstly, this paper has made a summary of the existed domestic and foreign research result about airportgate assignment, and analyzed the problem lying in it,then proposed the airport gate assignment undermulti-terminal and multi-area management; secondly, considering the factor of safety, this paper hasbuilt a multi-objective pre-assignment model under multi-terminal and multi-area management mode,which aims at reducing the employment conflict of airport gate; thirdly, from the aspect of economicbenefit, this paper has researched a airport gate real-time adjustment model under the circumstance ofshared resource between multi terminals and multi areas, which aims at reducing walking distance oftravelers, fuel cost and empty airport gate cost; then, this paper has worked out the result of the modelby using Multi-objective genetic algorithm, and the result has been proved to be reasonable andfeasible; at last, based on the previous research, this paper has realized the research result in the airportoperation and management simulation system.
