Key structure design of high-rise building is the lateral control, interstory drift is animportant index to reflect the structural deformation. The national standard providesfor the displacement and high maximum layer floor ratio limit. But for high-rise shearwall structure, according to the different ratio of height to width, the deformation curveunder the action of horizontal load is flexure shear or bending type, the layerdisplacement is not only contains the displacement force components, also includes thewhole structure due to displacement caused by bending (no damage layerdisplacement), and with the rise of floor, harmless drift in the interlayer displacementof increasingly large proportion. In order to make contains harmless interlayerdisplacement displacement meet the national standard limit, structure designers had toincrease the stiffness of the structure, which is a direct consequence of increasing theearthquake response of the structure, not only cause economic waste, but alsodetrimental to the seismic structure.This paper focuses on the following contents:(1) structure layer displacement,harmful concept level displacement and inter-story displacement of innocent andharmless, inter-story displacement calculation method.(2) from the actual engineeringall presided over the design and in the design of high-rise structure of ten years of work,the typical9building height is about100m, the ratio of height to width of high-riseshear wall structure is between3~8, the maximum inter-story displacement analysis ofthe law.(3) using finite element analysis software ETABS (9.7.1), high-rise shear wallstructure model with different ratio of height to width of4different height, areestablished, the lateral displacement, under the action of horizontal load calculation ofstructural inter-story displacement, destructive story drift and harmless drift.(4)analysis rules, harmless interlayer displacement with the structure height and ratio ofheight to width change harmless displacement between layers of growth rate along thefloor, and the variation of displacement in the layer between the maximum floordisplacement between layers of harmless interstory drift ratio.(5) the statistical rangeof maximum floor displacement between harmful layer, recommend the use of harmfullayer structure displacement for the control of lateral stiffness index, and combinedwith the comfort requirements, control vertex acceleration.
