Nearly half a century, the point of memorial landscape should being public andartistic has been widely accepted and discussed. With the development of the times, thenew trend has appeared everywhere, the memorial landscape also shows diverse stylesdifferent from the past, and it’s intertwined with many traits, such as landscape art, placespirit, historical significance and spatial planning.The development of memorial landscape records the history of humancivilization,which represents the different period of ideal, pursuit and act.Currently, howmemorial landscape and urban park green space can been better integration has attractedacademic attention and discussion. At the same time, as the entrance of study the designof modern landscape, the memorial landscape research has a very important practicalsignificance.The Paper used three methods to research memorial landscape design for thevarious aspects of the system combing and researching,which is literature study, casesstudy method and field survey research methods.From the basic research ofmonumental landscape, interpreted the concept, types and characteristics of memoriallandscape,analyzing the typical domestic and foreign cases,explored modern andcontemporary trends of memorial landscape.On this basis,expand on the memoriallandscape elements of analysis,modern commemorative landscape design principles andthe method of design, highlighting the commemorative characteristics must coexist withthe public characteristics.Through the research of actual case of reform design to the revolutionpark.Specific analysis the practical application of the memorial landscape combinedwith the urban parks.I believe that the relationship between the memorial landscape experiencer and the landscape itself should be dialogue on an equal footing instead ofeducation and being educated, the significance of memorial landscape has public artwas presented in this paper innovatively. And finally,made the conclution that the public,the memorial and the artistic should co-exist and co-prosperity in the livingenvironment.
