With the development of highway construction, it gradually extending to the mountains,so more and more concrete bridges in particular long span bridges were presented. In view ofthe traffic is growing and increasing climatic conditions, many bridges paving layer appearedserious early damage before design life, greatly affected the life of the bridge, causing hugeeconomic losses. In addition to meet the basic requirement of common pavement of theasphalt concrete, the bridge deck pavement should be adapted to the technical performance ofthe structural characteristics and working conditions of the concrete bridge deck. This paperselects Japan epoxy asphalt and domestic epoxy asphalt as the objects of study, systematicstudies materials composition design, high-temperature stability, low-temperaturecracking-resistance, water stability, anti-oil performance and anti-fatigue performance.Firstly, materials, composition design of two kinds epoxy asphalt mixture by courseaggregate void filling method was finished. Based on Marshall testing method and charactersof epoxy asphalt mixture, air void is put forward as control index to design satisfying mixture.Secondly, modification effect of epoxy resin was researched upon high-temperaturestability and low-temperature cracking-resistance of epoxy asphalt mixture using MarshallTest, rutting test, trabecular bending test and trabecular bending creep test, and change the testtemperature to analysis the sensitivity of epoxy asphalt mixture on the high-low environmentThirdly, durability is the key index of bridge bridges paving layer. The article studies andcompares the durability of two kinds epoxy asphalt mixture from the perspectives of waterstability, anti-oil performance and anti-fatigue performance.Lastly, based on the concrete bridge-deck pavement test section of Xi’an-Baoji highwayrehabilitation and expansion project The article presents the studies on mixture design forproduction, delivery of epoxy resin, project control of pavement course, providing guidanceand reference for the use of epoxy asphalt mixture on concrete bridge deck pavement.
