Based on how to carry on the reliability assessment of concrete filled steel tube archbridge, this paper, combining the theory of bridge structure analysis and new developments ofstructural reliability analysis theory and from the perspective of applicable to engineeringpractice and scientific research innovation, was investigated from the following aspects.1. Based on the inducting and analyzing of existing research results of structurereliability evaluation, using the combination of qualitative and quantitative method, variouscomponents functions of concrete filled steel tube arch bridge were constructed, useful andefficient reliability index calculation method were explored and formed;2. After comparing and analyzing of the first order reliability method, an improved firstorder reliability method and JC method, based on the main components, structure systemreliability evaluation methods of the concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge are formed;3. Based on the main stress components of concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge, such assuspender, arch rib, beam and pillar, etc, the expressions of resistance functions arerespectively established on the basis of existing bridge specification. Due to the functionshaving the same probability distribution with the actions themselves in the range of linearelasticity, the corresponding effect expressions are set up, and then the limit state functionscould be determined. Based on reliability evaluation of main components in concrete filledsteel tubular arch bridge, the structure equivalent series system and equivalent simplifiedseries system are built, structure system reliability evaluation method of concrete filled steeltube arch bridge are formed, which is based on the PNET method;4. Taking the Jiantiao Bridge as the research object, reliabilities of main components ofthe concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge are calculated in the limit state of bearing capacity.Based on reliability evaluation of main components in concrete filled steel tubular arch bridge,the structure equivalent series system and equivalent simplified series system are built, andthe equivalent series system reliability of the concrete filled steel tube arch bridge iscalculated.
