Concrete and steel material are two kinds of common materials, but due to themechanical properties of concrete and steel materials, the ideal effect cannot be achievedwhen used one of them separately in bridge engineering, so a new composite structureappeared, a structure with the advantage of both steel and concrete-steel composite beam.Compared with other structures, the steel-concrete composite structure has a great ofadvantage, and it has been widely used in engineering practice.Though there are much research and application of the steel-concrete composite beamthe work is not perfect and the theory is not mature. The shearing bolts, as an importantcomponent of steel composite beams, a few deep system research are done on it. There are toomany problems needs further research to solve in engineering design. This paper mainlyaimed at the bolt connection of steel composite beam under uniformly distributed load, usingthe finite element program to explore load-displacement curves, shear force distribution ofstructure, the laws of joint surfaces’ sliding and the key cross section’s stress and the straindistribution. This paper also explored the structure failure modes by comparing thedestruction form of composite beams under different bolt spacing as300mm,600mm and900mm.Numerical analyses of steel-concrete composite beam show that failure mode is materialdamage when the bolt spacing is less than300mm; However, it will be slip damage when thebolt spacing is greater than600mm. The steel-concrete composite beams show a goodductility in different cases.
