In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, more and more urban trafficdemands are required. In order to shorten the time for improving the efficiency of ourlives, amounts of major cities have started to build subways. Since the construction ofsubways going forward, lots of engineering accidents, economic loss and irreversibleinjuries occurred due to the weak conscious of risk management.Metro shield is of high technical and relatively small investment in wide urbansubway construction application. However, there is no perfect risk management system inthe actual construction. It’s too late that measures are taken until the accidents happened.Compare the risk management theories at home and abroad. For construction ofmetro shield of Wuhan metro line no.4,engineering characteristics, key design, geologyand hydrological condition as well as the construction organization plan are studiedcomprehensively on the basis of investigation and analysis of the project site. This articleexamined the block construction of metro shield and connected aisle due to the complextunneling construction process. Qualitative and quantitative analysis methods are taken tothe risk identification, estimation and evaluation, analytic hierarchy process is use todetermine risk index system and establish the risk evaluation model, different risk factorson the same target layer are sorted on the basis of expert scoring method. Then fuzzycomprehensive evaluation method is used to confirm the risk level, and effective measuresare put forward to ensure the success of construction.
