The Research Of Modern CBD Planning Strategy Based On The Concept Of Landscape Urbanism

With the rapid development of economic globalization and the wide spread ofinformatization, the urban economy, society, culture, ideas and technology havechanged dramatically. Then complex and volatile trends are appeared in the fields ofurban spatial form and spatial order, city planners have to face more challenges underpressure. At the same time, there are a huge number of construction projects in the greatprocesses of national modernization, with more projects of moden CBD. CentralBusiness District (CBD) is a particular diversified area in modem city with business,exposition, shopping, entertainment and other functions. It ensures the city to developmore effectively and constantly due to its high symbolic value, abundant connotations,extensive influence and distinctive spatial characteristics. It is quite important forupgrading city image and city culture.From point of view of the concept, development and spatial form, this essay willanalysis and study modern CBD physical planning and non-physical planning based onLandscape Urbanism, which would be significant for its sustainable and humanizingdevelopment. This essay will summarize the disadvantages of traditional planningmethods and advantages of Landscape Urbanism and modern CBD planning methods. Itmakes a case study of some typical CBD projects to compare the construction planningin different countries. Then it introduces the idea that landscape is a medium, planningis a open and mobile complex and need to concern and respect the environment andculture.
