Research On Traffic Characteristics Under The Condition Of Multiple Emergencies Coupling

Traffic plays an important role in dealing with multiple emergencies coupling.Evacuation,rescue and material transportation can’t do without traffic system.Whenmultiple emergencies couples,Emergency response related to traffic is very important for itis the guarantee of dealing with emergency problems timely and effectively. Research oftraffic characteristics can provide a basis for decision support system when multipleemergencies couples.The background and the significance of this topic were declared,by the way, theresearch purpose,research objectives,research methods,research framework and researchprocess were stated in part one of this paper..In part two,by analyzing the current researchstatus of multiple emergencies coupled at home and abroad,the paper summarizes themain view and shortcoming of those documents,than presents its research interests.In partthree,it defines what is multiple emergencies couples and classifies different kind ofmultiple emergencies coupled,than the effect,the mechanism and the general characteristicof multiple emergencies coupled were analyzed. In part four,it analysis road trafficcharacteristics from traffic network,traffic flow and traffic participants under the conditionof multiple emergencies coupling.In part five,by analyzing traffic characteristics of refuge,rescue and material transportation the paper shows us emergency traffic characteristics. Inpart six,this paper uses a software named ‘vissim’ as a tool to analyzes the affect ofmultiple emergencies coupled on the road called xiongchu avenue when BRT project isfinished on this avenue. At last,according to the research it makes the final conclusion andsuggestion,and puts forward some questions should be focused on when multipleemergencies couple in the future.The traffic characteristics of multiple emergencies coupled summarized in this paperis the representative characteristics.At the same time,as the case we choose to study isspecific, these features summarized also have certain limitation.But the research methodsand the results of the study is worth reference for future research.
