With the rapid development of the air-conditioning industry, the demand forhigh-efficiency core assembly equipment has been increasing, thus the research anddevelopment of highly efficient automatic assembly production line equipment formicro-channel heat exchanger core has extremely important significance. The heatexchanger core is composed of micro-channel flat tubes and corrugated fins. The coreassembly equipment includes automatic blanking, transportation, and assembly.Functions of the core assembly module are as follows: extruded core, assembly sideplate, leveling the core, and assembling the confluent pipe. This paper focused on thestructure design of core assembly modules, achieving precise positioning of flat tubeon mechanical structure, accurately building the core. By model creating and contactnonlinear simulation analysis, the design for the leveling module was verified andproved feasible.First, according to design specifications of the efficient micro-channel heatexchanger automatic production line equipment, design requirements of assembledcore modules were put forward, and the beats of assembly machine in accordance withthe fin forming speed were specified. Based on the theory of assembly process, theload and workflow of the core automatic assembly are discussed.Secondly, according to the design requirements and the theory of assembly cores,by analyzing and comparing the driver programs, the most suitable one has finallybeen chosen, so that improved devises for assembly modules have larger impact onproduct quality. Selections of key parts like motor and lead screw are completed andoverall structural designs are finished.Finally, based on the problems in the automatic core assembly process, the keymodule of simulation analysis is finished. The finite element contact analysis forcompression leveling module is carried out. Using the finite element contact analysismethod, starting with the simplified model, the finite element model is built. The finiteelement contact nonlinear simulation analysis of compression leveling module isaccomplished in ANSYS. The reason of fins crushed was discussed. Through displaying visually stress cloud plots and displacement contours plots, feasibility of thedesign was verified and theoretical basis for the structural improvement was provided.
