The automatic assembly machine of car radiator core is the most advanced core assembly equipment, which is applied to the majority of automotive radiator manufacturer. Compared to traditional manual assembly. The great performance of efficiency, quality and safety bring huge advantages to automatic assembly machine. However, the radiator core assembly is in low degree of automation in domestic market at present.The purpose of this project is to improve the assembly precision and assembly efficiency of radiator core assembly machine. To decrease assembly costs and the labor intensity of the assembly. A automobile radiator core assembly machine with independent property right is designed and manufactured. The automotive radiator core assembly technology is analyzed through comparing the different assembly process and the parameters, such as operating lines, assembly sequence, assembly precision and so on, are identified by examining the assembly process on the spot. Based on the considerations above, the structure and controlling systems of the automotive radiator core assembly machine are designed.The modular design approach is applied in the work, divides the structural part of the large assembly machine into twelve different modules, according to the principle of work then individually designs each part. At the same time, consider the overall layout of the machine and the connections among different modules to make all of them as a whole.Using more sophisticated simulation design technology, and UG NX software by which creating a virtual model of the machine, simulate and animate the machine’s operating performance, check the computation of the load and torque on the tail accounted for the largest servo motor power, make finite element simulation analysis of the critical load parts rod, to ensure the safety and reliability of the machine.The production rhythm of auto radiator automatic assembly machine:more than60sets/hour;assembly location positioning accuracy of automatic assembly machine:0.05mm;flatness of the radiator surface is0.05mm;running noise of Automatic assembly machine less than75db;assembly side spacing from300-700mm, adjustable; main assembly spacing from400-800mm, adjustable;tank number of flat tube arrangement25-65, adjustable. The subject is a typical production-study-research cooperation projects between universities and corporations, specifically participants are Yancheng Institute of Technology and Jiangsu Kang Jie Machinery Co.,Ltd.
