An Analysis Of The Residential Morphology Of Zhangguying Village Under The Background Of Tourism Development

In recent decades, traditional villages has been drawing increasing attention andgradually become popular tourist attraction. It has been over10years since theZhangguying Village achieve tourism development in1990s. The development of tourismresources in ancient villages not only contributes to traditional architectural cultureinheritance, but also can promote economic development to enhance the conservationand advancement of the villages. For protecting traditional villages, in addition to somevaluable old house conservation, what we should do, in essence, is to improve the qualityof its human habitat. This paper focuses on the residential morphology of ZhangguyingVillage, analyzing two aspects modifications, i.e shape and expression since thecommencement of the Zhangguying village tourism development.In this paper, space form and the lifestyle are concerned which stand for shape andexpression respectively. The space form includes the whole village space, the exteriorspace, transitional space and the interior space; Lifestyle comprises the living of mode infamily, neighborhood and the community. The space form and the lifestyle are closelyconnected and interacted mutually.This study concentrates on the modification of the residential morphology ofZhangguying Village. There are four parts to clarify and analyze these changes clearly.Firstly, introduce Zhangguying Village and the process of tourism development. Secondly,describe the recent status of its residential morphology. Then, the core part of the paperillustrates the changes of the residential morphology of Zhangguying Village. Finally,analyze the reasons of the changes in part three.In the end, the dissertation summary of the modification of the residentialmorphology in Zhangguying Village.
