This paper studies the hydraulic systems of the life test instrument for heavy load ballcrew, mainly on the speed control system, the loading system and the analysis on therecycle of the return oil. While the speed of the speed control system should meet therequirement, the pressure stability of the oil source should also be guaranteed when thehigh pressure return oil from the loading system is injected into the oil source of the speedcontrol system.First of all, we analysed the speed control system, which is a valve-motor hydraulicsystem. Though the power loss and heating is inevitable, it is possible and effective torecycle the power of the return oil from the loading system by injecting it to the oil sourceof the speed control system. With the aid of Matlab/Simulink software, the mathematicalmodel was found, the results of the system modeling and simulation show that the speedcontrol system can meet the requirement by using the PID controller and correction forlag.Then we built the model of the hydraulic components related to the oil sourcepressure of the speed control system. The software Matlab/Simulink was applied to themodeling and simulation. When the reliable models were required, the oil source modelcould be built. For there is a proportional relationship between the return oil flow and thespeed of the speed control system, the simulation was run on different input signals.At last, we analysed the recycling power of the return oil from the loading system, onthe condition when the speed was constant and variational respectively. Then we got thediagram of actual recycling oil flow compared with the expected, the diagram of recyclingoil flow compared with the load flow of the motor and the diagram of the power of therecycling return oil compared with the power of the speed control system. The resultsindicate the possibility of recycling the return oil from the loading system.
