| The traditional propulsion model is using diesel driving propeller to push ship forward. This model has some limitations on exhaust emission, overall efficiency and controlflexibility as well as bigger noise and pollution, looking for new energy and power plant isthe development trend of propulsion mode. The electric propulsion has become thedevelopment direction of the marine propulsion by its superiorities. With development ofthe electric semiconductor technology, some disadvantages on the original ship electricpropulsion have changed radically and the merit and advantages of it have further developed. But at present the research of surface vessel electric propulsion system in domestic is still atthe start stage, therefore, develop the modeling and simulation of the marine electricpropulsion system can be used for reference to the development and application of themarine electric propulsion. The subject could also be used for reference to thehardware-in-the-loop emulation of electric propulsion system laboratory construction inJiangsu University of Science and Technology. The paper regards the electric propulsion device as the research subject. Its components, features and working principles are analyzed. Main study is on the electric propulsionsystem which applying the vector controls asynchronous motor on the basis of whichmathematical model is set up to emulate with Matlab. The main modeling and simulation isfocus on current hysteresis ring vector control system. Analyze steady and dynamic propertyof the simulation models by changing load and speed of the ship. In order to simulatepropeller load realistically, the paper will regard the ship and propeller as a whole to set upmathematical model of ship-motor-propeller by analytical method on the base of Chebyshevpolynomial fitting a propeller property atlas across four quadrants and analyze the speed andtorque of the ship typical running conditions such as going ahead and astern which couldfind inherent rules of the system and give scientific and reasonable advices on the shipmaneuvering. |
