In recent years, the body control technology has been applied widely in Chineseautomotive industry, which has a good forecast in the fully competitive market. As wedidn’t have so many electrical equipments of the integrated control, and the ones wehave were not much reliable, which cause the core chips, sensors, software, and so onare controlled by foreign companies. China OEMs usually use the body controlmodule products by import or the China located foreign companies. Even some localcompanies tried to develop and produce the products, but it’s much more difficult forthe technology and market problems. Moreover, the cost pressure is growing. Bodycontrol module developing in local is one of the major trends in China’s automotiveelectronics market. Through building the body control module platform, we canflexibly develop and produce the integration body control module for Shanghai orother OEMs in China. Try optimizing the technology and cost to earn the internationalmarket share, then go outside, which can lead to a good environment for developing inChina local body control module products market.This paper shows how to integrate multiple control functions in one body controlmodule, and intelligent control of vehicle lights, door locks, wipers, windows, etc.Centralized body control module can control the various electrical components,receive required information to communicate via the bus network, do logic process bysignals receiving from various switches and sensors, which achieves the controlling ofthe body parts. In system development, the controller integrates multiple modules,which has a clear and detail definition of the logical behavior of each module. Withsimple cutting and combining, the system can meet the requirements of differentprojects. From system testing consideration, we have manual testing, automatedtesting, labcar testing, other tiered testing system. Hardware contains input processingmodule, power module, CAN/LIN bus communication module, radio frequency (RF)communication module, the central control module (MCU) and output driver circuit.Insoftware development, we use the idea of the modular design, QAC test graduallyintroduced in the software development process, and use Jira system to track testresults, to ensure that the quality of the code development. In mechanical development,we make a totally new design to meet the customers’ requirement on both the controlof the central body electronics and the installation environment, meanwhile reducingthe cost of raw materials. Verified through the controller platform, the body controller platform products can reach the expected technical indicators as designed.
