The Investigation And Assessment Of Built Environmental Of Core Area In Hangzhou CBD

For the purpose of adapting to the development needs of modernization, broadening the space ofurban develoment, promoting the city’s economic development and solving the contradiction from theurbanization. Hangzhou Municipal Government put forward the strategy for the development of citywhich is named “Developing along the QianTang River, and developing across the QianTang River".The construction of Hangzhou CBD is leader of these huge projects. The core area sets sail for theconstruction of Hangzhou CBD. Since openning to the public on October2008, the built enviroment ofHangzhou CBD has been gone through more and more tests. The thesis is with the guidance of builtenvironment subjective evalution method, enviromental psychology, enviromental behavior and cityimage, by the method of survey, interview survey and field survey, making quantitative and qualititiveanalysis on built environment of core area in Hangzhou CBD.The thesis selects three representative fields of built environment of core area in Hangzhou CBD(Civic Center, Civic square and Urban Balcony) as the object of study for a case design Questionnaire,and conducts questionnaire survey and interview survey. Then analyse the questionnaire quantitativelywith SPSS and Excel. At the same time, through a large number of field research, carried out on threecases of built environment evaluation from the point of view of landscape design, traffic organization,human factors evaluation detailed decomposition. According to Kevin Lynch’s theory of the image ofthe city, analysis core area road respectively, boundary, region, node, markers of this five imageelements, and find out the relationship between the five orientation elements.Finally, on the basis of investigation and analysis, summarizes5points:1.the satisfaction ofpeople’s view to the built environment of core area in HangzhouCBD is high;2. focus on enhancingtransportation convenient;3.pay attention to improving environmental details;4. the basiccharacteristics of lively space;5. setting up image elements will take a long and continued time. Hopingto provide usefully suggestions and methods for the continued construction of core area and other areain Hangzhou CBD.
