The supply of urban construction land use in China became increasingly intense.For land saving, all kinds of building developed to the high-level. The high-risebuildings have stricter demand with global stability of foundation because of its morelayer numbers and higher load, and the natural foundation can’t be satisfied. With thepredominance of high bearing capacity, lower average settlement and differentialsettlement, pile foundation have been widely used in high-rise building foundation.Even though, settlement and uneven settlement can’t be avoided. When unevensettlement developed to a certain extent, the safety of building will be affected.Therefore, law of building base subsidence should be studied and foretasted.Based on analysis of settlement mechanism of pile group foundation andpracticability of the calculation theory, in the present paper mathematical model wasbuilt by FLAC3D numerical method and measured date, and the rules weresummarized. After that, the validity of the rules was verified by a living example.First, the analysis and summary about load transfer characteristics, the generalregularity of pile groups deformation and their main influence factors has been made.On this basis the advantages and disadvantages of the existing settlement computationmethods have been put forward.Secondly, operating mode simulation of building8in Handan Tian Zeyuan pilegroup foundation had been built according to modeling process for FLAC3D numericalmethod. The stress and strain status of the initial state, loading and loaded wereanalyzed. Based on the simulated results, the change regular of settlement wassummarized and the mathematical model was built.Finally, based on the measured date of building8, the change regular of settlementwas summarized and the mathematical model was built. Then the2models werecompared and corrected. Taking building9as living example, there is a highcompliance between the calculation and actual date. The conclusion is the mathematicalis reasonable and it can be extended to the rise building pile groups foundationsettlement prediction in Handan district.
